Your gut is under siege every day. It must contend with stress, irregular circadian rhythms, gluten-based diets, sedentary indoor lifestyles, chemically processed and artificially preserved foods, hyperhygiene and antibiotics, which may possibly wipe out all the beneficial microbes in your gut!
The good news is that probiotics may assist in remedying any instabilities in your gut’s microbiome!*
Primal Probiotics is made up of probiotic strains that may support restoring the gut flora that is lost in the flurry of modern living*.
Primal Probiotics is made up of several research-based "spore-forming" versions that are designed to survive the harsh environment of the stomach and remain viable in the lower intestines. They mimic the probiotics that we might find in the soil if we were eating dirt with every bite*, just like our primal ancestors did. And we sealed these microorganisms in specially designed capsules that don't dissolve in the acidic stomach environment.

Support Your Immune System
When your immune system works properly, you rarely—if ever—get sick. And about 80% of your immune system resides in your digestive tract! It’s those trillions of healthy bacteria (also known as microflora or probiotics) living symbiotically in you that help eliminate the bad bacteria that are always trying to gain a foothold—the ones that cause all manner of disease and illness. Unfortunately, many common elements in life conspire to upset the balance between beneficial bacteria and harmful, unhealthy bacteria—stress, poor diet, excess sugar and simple carbs, alcohol use, antibiotic use…you name it! A simple daily dose of Primal Probiotics can help rebalance and restore gut health and improve immune function.*
Improve Your Digestion
Healthy bacteria are also needed to assist in the digestion and absorption of certain carbohydrates and minerals, in the production of vitamins, and in the protection of the delicate lining of your gut. Ironically, when you don’t absorb vitamins and minerals, you get hungry for more foods (the brain still senses the lack of these critical nutrients) so you tend to eat more than you should. Taking an effective probiotic like Primal Probiotics can help restore that balance and improve digestion. In other words, healthy gut bacteria can actually assist in weight loss.*
Improve Your Regularity
Most people don’t realize that natural regularity depends on the prevalence of good bacteria in the gut. In fact, the average stool should consist primarily of water (75%) and bacteria (both dead and living, and both healthy and unhealthy). Undigested food remnants should comprise very little of a healthy stool. That would be an indication that either you are eating the wrong foods or that your intestines are not digesting and/or absorbing nutrients efficiently. Sure, you can make yourself poop every day by taking a laxative or even using so-called healthy indigestible fibers, but that sort of “fake regularity” can cause more harm than good. Taking Primal Probiotics can assist in creating a healthy bacterial balance that promotes the appropriate bacterial turnover and restores healthy regularity.*
Yogurt or Acidophilus Just Can't Do It
Many people think taking yogurt or kefir can adequately restock probiotics in the gut. However, because of the stringent laws involved in bringing processed milk products to market, many of the most popular brands of yogurt have very little actual live culture remaining by the time you ingest them. Moreover, many people are simply lactose intolerant and cannot capitalize on these food sources. Primal Probiotics starts with 10 billion CFU (individual living colony-forming units) in each capsule and guarantees potency through date of expiration. Primal Probiotics is more than 25 times as potent as an average serving of yogurt—and Primal Probiotics has none of the calories, the lactose or other sugars.*
Acid and Bile Resistant Strains
Many common probiotic blends can’t survive the acidic environment of the stomach. That’s why some companies use “enteric coatings” or special treatments to keep the probiotics inside a waxy ball until after they’ve passed through the stomach. Perhaps you’ve heard that some probiotics also need to be refrigerated in order to remain “live.” In both cases, the main issue is that the strains they’ve chosen are not particularly hardy strains to begin with. In comparison, Primal Probiotics uses acid- and bile-resistant strains that survive through stomach acid and need not be refrigerated (although you CAN store them in a refrigerator). These strains have been isolated over years of research to resist digestion and more effectively repopulate intestinal flora.*
This product delivers on both quality and quantity!!! I first starting using it 4 years ago and haven't been sick enough to need antibiotics since! Have my wife on it as well and she loves it too!!
We have enjoyed adding these to our lifestyle to take care of the bacteria in our stomach.
This is the only probiotic that doesn't cause digestive (sometimes severe) distress.
I'll never take anything else
I have been taking this for 3 months. I no longer get stomach aches right after eating and I’m much less gassy. I’ve tried 20 different probiotics and this is the best!
Probotics live symbiotically in your body and may support the elimination of the bad bacteria that are always trying to gain a foothold—the ones that may cause disease and illness. Unfortunately, elements in life conspire to upset the balance between probiotics and potentially harmful bacteria—stress, poor diet, excess sugar and simple carbs, alcohol use, and antibiotic use are a host of specific examples. A simple daily dose of Primal Probiotics may help rebalance and restore gut health and improve immune function.*
Our probiotics come from a strain that can survive even if they’re not refrigerated.
Take 1 capsule per day, before or during meals. We recommend consulting with your Primary Care Physician for more insight to your individual needs.
When other products claim to offer 18 to 30 billion CFUs, they are doing so knowing that most of the bacteria they deliver are common live strains found in many of the fermented foods we eat, and that they will be dead in the bottle after only a few weeks after manufacture. Primal Probiotics uses a proprietary blend of special spore-forming bacteria that can survive in a dormant state for long periods of time, as well as survive the harsh, acidic environment of the stomach and bile in the upper part of the small intestine. Moreover, we use a special digestion-resistant capsule designed to disintegrate lower down the digestive tract. The net effect is that most of the healthy probiotic strains in Primal Probiotics are delivered to their destination ready to work for you.
Maintains optimum potency for up to 18 months.
It's a very broad term that describes what can be added to a formulation to make it flow easier, to bind it together, to add texture, color etc. Some are bad, some benign and some are beneficial. For example, we use potato starch as an "excipient" in our probiotic formula. It helps fill up the capsules, but also serves as a source of resistant starch to feed the good bacteria.
Magnesium Stearate is also a known excipient and is a very common ingredient in capsules as it tends to help coat them and make them easier to swallow. It also enhances the effect of the active ingredients and promote absorption.
Cellulose is also used sometimes in vitamins to help grainy products flow better into the capsules. The cellulose is from plants and is a fiber source, so it is in some ways beneficial or, at worst, simply benign.
Of course, some choices are bad, like the petrochemicals, artificial colors, etc., and we would never choose to use them.
In the current formula, the majority of the probiotics are not derived from allergens, with the exception of one strain that is derived from a dairy source. The end product of this strain is not considered an allergen because, theoretically, all of the fermentation nutrients are consumed during fermentation, and after fermentation the product is further separated/ purified. For the new manufacturer we will be using in 2018, they have confirmed that none of the strains will come from dairy.
